The case study between Sue and her new student in the healthcare facility deduced that individualized approaches in nursing care are a crucial indicator of the quality process in providing nursing care. The concept of nursing can usually be integrated into the various aspects of nursing education that are culminated with practice. In this case, using Benner's Novice to Expert model is critical in advising Sue and her students on care practices and providing them with a theoretical framework. Individualized healthcare comprises fundamental aspects of values, holistic philosophies, and ethical codes used in nursing that include practice nursing care aligned with the requirements of the patients as well as planning, perceptions, and personal views incorporated in the nursing care process.

A summary of each stage

The first stage is the novice stage. The novice level of nursing is characterized by the absence of any prior practical experience and the exclusive possession of theoretical knowledge. Therefore, they are clueless about applying their newly acquired knowledge and abilities when confronted with one-of-a-kind circumstances since they lack the necessary information (Sellman, 2018). Recently graduated nurses can be compared to honeymoon practitioners since they have attained the advanced beginning level by the time they graduate. However, individuals in this stage do not have the needed experience to act in dire viably suctions they are expected to deliver since they cannot apply discretionary judgment.

The second stage is the advanced beginner stage. The stage is an elucidation that even the most advanced beginners in nursing need assistance from more seasoned nurses while caring for patients. As a result, they prioritize carrying out all prescribed treatment strategies above, providing personalized nursing services more often.

The third level is known as the competent level. During the competent stage, nursing staff create new protocols, expand their clinical knowledge, and learn methods for directing patient care while learning ethical practices and nursing values (Coram, 2016). Finally, at the proficient level, nurses display new skills that apply to various circumstances. This aspect s based on the ability of the nurse to decipher the multiple approaches but not all packages in the administration of healthcare practices.

At the proficient level, nurses who have worked as professionals for three years or more must respond based on skills that can be used to provide information in response to patient demands (Coram, 2016). They are analytical and fluid in dealing with various clinical situations such as patient and system crises; additionally, they take clinical leadership when necessary and are emotionally responsive to patients' distress situations (Coram, 2016). At the proficient level, nurses who have served as professionals for three years or more have reactive abilities, which may be used to deliver information that complies with the demand made by patients. They are organized and adaptable, allowing them to deal with various clinical scenarios, including patient and systemic crises. In addition, they assume clinical leadership when required and have an emotionality to situations in which patients are in distress.

Expert is the final stage. In contrast to proficient nurses, expert nurses respond quickly and automatically to conclude. They can make critical clinical judgments while grasping the big picture through their intuitive abilities or unique solutions that combine scientific and philosophical talents (Coram, 2016). Patients' needs and capabilities are sensed by expert nurses, who have a broader perspective on the situation. Personalized nursing care is not a problem for both well-educated and skilled nurses since they are better able to notice small necessary adjustments and difficulties and use an established acute intuition about forecasts.

My Continuum, Sue, and Student

My continuum aligns with the student's stage who is a novice and has started to get integrated into the advanced beginner. The reason the student is in this stage is that he has theoretical knowledge that he has gained in school as well as ethical codes in nursing practices. Therefore Sue can trust the students with the patients who have gastronomical issues. On the other hand, Sue is a proficient nurse who has worked as a professional nurse for three years. As a result, she has developed skills based on response and can guide the students in line with the patient's demands and meet her patient demand.

Conclusion

Therefore, from the above elucidation, nursing theory and the incorporation of the model of nursing development stages are crucial in meeting the various demands of patients. As a nurse researcher, I can use theories, concepts, and paradigms derived from nursing research to examine and measure phenomena that may affect the safety and quality of healthcare services, as well as the skills base of nurses. For new graduates, Benner's adaption model of skills training for nurses provides a foundation for building a sound transformation process.
