Career success definition
A successful career brings up a level of satisfaction and happiness in a person. (Frederiksen & Kato, 2017) As a human resource manager, I would want to have an existing work environment which will create happiness, passion, and excitement in my life. For me to feel that I have a successful career as an HR manager, I will evaluate the kind of relationships I have in my work environment. My relationship with other workers should be at its best. Also, I will need to have a good relationship with my boss and have a good learning curve that will impact positively on my career.
Personal mission statement
Dedicated to improving lives of others and my own. The only way I will achieve this is through hard work, continuous accumulation of knowledge and being proud of what I do as well as putting other people's interests before mine. To always apply my work ethics by doing my best in every task I partake. By putting interests of others before mine, I will be able to give back to the community through charitable efforts.

Through Literary Volunteer of America- Woodbridge where I worked as a volunteer in 2015 I became a certified English Tutor. My primary role was to instruct students about the structure and contents of the English language. Also, I assigned books for students to read and taught them how to interpret literature.

The first step is to identify which skills are essential in developing my career as human resource manager and then consulting my boss on how to develop my career. When creating a professional development plan as a human resource manager, I would consider the skills required, job requirements, the knowledge required and the technology I would need during the daily profession tasks. By doing this, I will be well prepared to tackle every challenge that comes my way thus developing my profession (Kregg-Byer 2014).
Mentoring plan
Create a plan that will mentor the employees and guide their daily working activities. As an HR manager, my duty will include taking care of my employee's needs and guidance will be my role. When employees are mentored well, they produce quality results from the tasks they undertake.
Updated career success definition
As my career objectives are fulfilled, it will be important to update my success definition so as to set higher goals to bring more growth in my profession (Patton & McMahon 2014). When all the earlier career success goals are achieved, it is imperative to set new goals as they bring more individual growth.
Career decision making and reflections
It’s important to reflect back and evaluate the career decisions made at be the beginning of the career planning and see whether the decision was worth it. I would assess whether the targets I set have been met or not.
