These strategies can be nutrition, ADLs, exercise, etc.
Solution
Functional Wellness
Exercise
Chronic diseases are extremely lethal illnesses that kill many people each year. Furthermore, many people with this syndrome become disabled, and treatment has shown to be expensive (Mora, 2018). Regular exercise is important for healthy aging and has various health advantages, including a lower risk of all-cause mortality, chronic illness, and early death. Since lack of exercise is so common, a greater emphasis on along with exercise into treatment planning and counseling and forming partnerships that promote exercise opportunities is required (Mora, 2018). Physical activity should be encouraged for older persons to ensure that their skills and circumstances permit. Adults should practice cardiovascular, muscle-strengthening, and stretching exercises regularly and balancing exercises if required to reap major health benefits (Mora, 2018). Prescribed drugs, diet, accidents, knee and hip arthroplasties, and chronic ailments must be factored into adequate planning.
Nutrition
The elderly should be handled with care and fed healthy food to prevent further health difficulties caused by a poor diet. Good nutrition, particularly in older people, helps preserve health and reduce the risk of chronic diseases, adds to vitality in daily activities, energy, and morale, and assists in the preservation of functional ability (Clegg,2018). Furthermore, reducing muscles and tissues causes other concerns such as decreased strength, an increased risk of acquiring other illnesses, slower wound healing, and a lower probability of recovering from other ailments. As a result, it is critical to building a balanced diet for elderly patients with chronic diseases to prolong their lifespan and provide them the strength to actively engage in lifestyles such as exercises (Clegg,2018). Nutrition education for the family of chronic patients could be a step to reducing chronic problems.
