Physical Education
An excellent upper body workout strengthens the back and therefore improves posture. Considering that a lot of time is spent in class and with no physical activity, an upper body workout is essential. Additionally, an upper body workout improves strength and balance. Since major body muscles are found in the lower body, a lower body workout is equally important to improve agility (Peng, et al). Agility is essential, especially for sportspeople more so athletes. Balance is necessary to perform any function regardless of day-to-day activities or exercise. Improving balance will lead to better functionality and body stability. Endurance sports strengthen cardiovascular muscles, lungs, and joints. Essentially, endurance sports strengthen the respiratory systems. Finally, cardio improves energy levels and helps to regulate blood sugar levels. For people with symptoms of asthma, cardio is the recommended option to control the symptoms. Overall physical activities keep a majority of lifestyle diseases at bay (Görner, et al).
