Communication Management Plan
A communication management plan outlines how to organize and document important information to the key stakeholders on the ongoing project. It is an important part of management because it helps communicate to the team how things will be done effectively without wasting time. Having an effective communication plan as a leader helps ensure smooth communication to the team effectively, thus leading to successful project delivery. In most instances, it acts as a strategic blueprint for delivering a coordinated and consistent message to achieve specific goals (Darmaningrat, Muqtadiroh & Bukit, 2019). Given the importance of communication, developing a management plan can help ensure communication is coordinated and strategic in achieving specified goals. As a result, based on its description, it is critical in project management since it aids the team in determining who among the employees should be getting notifications.
There is various reason we perform communication management plan on projects. For instance, through a communication management plan, we can identify how important information can be shared among the stakeholders throughout the project. The project manager is able to effectively share information among each stakeholder (Milano, 2021). Another big picture about a communication plan is that it helps determine who will receive the information and how they should use it to achieve the specified project goal. It is also significant that they can use a communication management plan to address the stakeholders’ needs and expectations as a project manager. Managing stakeholder expectations through a communication plan can help inform the project manager of any potential risks, changes, and other related information important to successful project completion (Lucid, 2019). Thus, an effective communication management plan helps build trust prevent conflicts and increase the belongingness of stakeholders in the project. Looking at how an effective communication management plan is essential in helping to achieve project goals project manager needs to use it in project management.
