Question 1

Prior knowledge was highly valued during my K-12 schooling. The activity incorporated the trainer’s brainstorming the students on what they know before introducing new topics (Jimmy et al. 36). In addition, teachers allowed the students to give their opinion on a particular event before issuing detailed information. For instance, we were asked to justify which race was more special and superior in the country. Altogether, the phenomena facilitated effective learning of new concepts. Moreover, it facilitated efficient unlearning of unaccepted reasoning. Henceforth, K-12 studies must incorporate prior learning.

Question 2

Establishing racially diverse learning institutions facilitates equality and effective learning. According to research documentation by the United States Education Department, diverse learning makes a person smarter since academic excellence can be increased in a fair environment (Jimmy et al 33). Moreover, the phenomena encourage equality among students from different races. Therefore, the government should foster diverse learning institution to improve education of students of color.

Question 3

Selective employment based on an individuals’ race is a contemporary micro-aggression that I have witnessed. Many employers have fostered the fallacy that the Whites are more experienced and skilled in technical jobs than their Black and Hispanic counterparts hence are favored during recruitment (Yearby 1140). The phenomenon renders the blacks jobless; moreover, they are forced to venture into other low-class jobs. Overall, racism is responsible for the variation in employment ratios among American races.
