2. The materials have tried to compare early 1900s management practices with today’s management. It has tried to explain the principle of management in the 1900s and 20th centuries (Byrne, 2015). Basically, the materials have tried to indicate how managers do managers giving a thorough comparison between management principles espoused by Fayol in 1940 and those of today. Therefore, it is evident that the fundamental purpose of the material was to show how managers can use different principles in managing the organization.
3. The materials key question was how do managers manage? It has been a key question of discussion in the materials, which has been answered based on a comparison of the early 1940s and twentieth-century management principles. Also, the materials tried to give an overview of why managers can handle poor performers in an organization.

The key concept in the material was a description of the question of discussion, which has explained how early 1900s management are not exactly like today’s management even though there are a number of underlying concepts that are the same. In addition, the materials have shown how managers are expected to handle poor performers within the organization and how programs like SBPA are significant in helping to identify the cause and solutions for poor performance. In addition, the materials have shown that there’s a different level of management (Byrne, 2015). As in some organizations, managers are not allowed to make decisions because they have a mandate to allocate or assign resources to teams or projects within the organization. Also, the materials have explained what exactly managers are expected to focus on as leaders within the organization. For instance, it has shown that the managers have the mandate of translating high-level corporate vision into actionable plans that can make the company achieve its goal. Basically, the question on exact work managers needs to do to help inform project plans that can help employees at the lowest level to follow.
5. Moreover, the material has been significant in various factors, such as what managers and leaders do within the organization. It has shown that managers are mostly focused on project goals while leaders are focused on company vision. Also, the materials have significantly explained that coordinating project plan helps managers direct the performance of employees (Byrne, 2015). Notably, the materials have tried to inform managers they should
consider different things such as a task to be completed and expectations so that to be able to make sure the company perform.
