The U.S Senate Committee on Environmental and Public Works is one of the significant agencies in the United States whose responsibility is legislation and oversight on factors that can help build environment protection and resource conservation (Field, 2016). It is evident for the year now the agency on the environment, and public works has grown from oversight of federal new building construction to the legislative responsibility for the development of flood controls and the nation's interstate highway system.
The committee on environment and public works is much focused on factors affecting the environment; one of the significant legislations I have found important and impactful to my community is "a bill to amend Federal Water Pollution Control Act to modify certain allotment under that act and for other purposes" (Legislation, 2021). This selected legislation is important to the country and my community because it aims to make sure my local community has been from allotments, which will help them have enough supply of water that will grow fruits and vegetables that they can supply to the market get money. In addition, the legislation is important to my community because it will ensure they get enough water, which will help produce surplus fruits and vegetables that will help boost the area’s economic condition.
In addition, the agency's environmental legislation is focused on making sure that the Federal Water Pollution Act is modified so that allotment in the act can be used for other purposes. Moreover, the agency legislation is important to my community because it helps ensure that my community gets clean water and is healthy for their lives (Legislation, 2021). Therefore, modifying some allotment of the act through the agency will help improve to be more effective to my people because it will meet their needs. In addition, I agree with legislation because it is focused on making sure that the environment is effectively protected from pollution.
