Solution
Cloud Pricing
Cloud pricing refers to the monthly and annual charges paid to access the network and initiate API requisitions. Uploading is the action of introducing pages, videos, pictures, and certain files onto the web servers while downloading is the acquisition of images, videos, and other data from the servers. Azure, Oracle, and AWS are some of the entities which provide cloud services. Speed, capacity, networking, and egress are some of the needs of initiating pricing charges for downloads and uploads.
Speed of downloads versus uploads is the first preference of companies when evaluating cloud pricing. Faster download speeds will offer the customers easy access to various activities like watching online videos, online shopping, music streaming, and watching movies. The activities for execution will determine the internet brand with and speed which eventually influences the overall prices. For example, Oracle’s cloud services are faster than AWS and Azure because it uses the cutting-edge technologies (Microsoft Azure, 2021). Even though their packages come with easy customization and proper performance, they are very expensive. Additionally, Oracle does not offer an initial pay-free model to its clients as the case of AWS. Subsequently, capacity is another factor determining the cost implications a person or organization incurs for downloads and uploads (Fraczek, 2018). For example, if a firm requires leveraging the significance of the cloud, that will make them move and host large amounts of expensive data. Similarly, little data is cheap in terms of cloud pricing. Besides, there are needs associated with networking and egress (Bellur, Malani, & Narendra, 2014). The costs for communication by servers in diverse domains and data transfer on the internet are determinants of the overall pricing. In this case, Oracle serves best because it has a robust infrastructure that provides good performance over a wider region through Universal Credits compared to AWS, which is limited because of its small structure.
Conclusively, the speed, capacity, networking, and egress considerations will always affect the pricing of uploads and downloads. Entities that require a high-speed network will always spend more than those that need less. Additionally, companies also use the cloud to transfer and communicate between different domains. Those are additional costs on top of the storage services offered, and the end costs will always be higher.
